Mission Statement

HeretoDestroy.com is a music-oriented blog and independent record label, originally launched in October 2007. The blog’s primary purpose is to provide users with a podcast titled Measurements of Sound.

Measurements of Sound is not a traditional podcast. There is no commentary—just music. The focus is purely on the sound, allowing listeners to immerse themselves without distraction or interruption. Each episode consists of a single soundscape made up of a group of songs, with the length varying from one to the next.

The title Measurements of Sound refers to the different variables that shape the experience of listening to music—time, volume, intensity, tone, and even color.

Beyond the Measurements of Sound podcasts, Here to Destroy publishes various music and design-related content, supporting underground artists through both the blog and its record label. The label’s first release will be the debut album from The Orchids, a raw and electrifying fusion of punk and stoner rock.
