Usually if I really like a band, I pay close enough attention to know what they’re up to. However occasionally I get caught sleeping on the job. Which is what just happened with Rosetta, who are releasing their new album The Anaesthete tonight at midnight via BandCamp. As of last week, I didn’t even know they were working on an album, yet about to put one out in less than a week. Color me pleasantly surprised.
Anaesthete Tracklist:
- Ryu / Tradition
- Fudo / The Immovable Deity
- In & Yo / Dualities of the Way
- Oku / The Secrets
- Hodoku / Compassion
- Myo / The Miraculous
- Hara / The Center
- Ku / Emptiness
- Shugyo / Austerity
This time around the band is self-releasing the album and it will be available digitally via the ever popular pay what you want model. There are plans for a physical release in the fall. Additional info about the release of The Anaesthete can be found on Rosetta’s Tumblr.
If you are already familiar with Rosetta, then no doubt you’ll have The Anaesthete on repeat tomorrow. For anyone who may not fit into that category, download this album and listen this band. I can’t recommend them enough.
