I’ve always had a soft spot for bands who are oblivious that it’s actually 2013 – not 1973. Take one of those bands and throw in some heavy riffs, a drummer who plays like Bill Ward and songs about dark, evil shit and I’m sold. So naturally Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats get my seal of approval.
The band taps even further into dark, evil shit in their new video for “Mind Crawler” with a nice collage of death cults, satanic rituals, orgies, outlaw biker gangs, drugs and serial killers. All low-fi and straight to VHS (poor tracking and all). If there ever was a perfect visual compliment to a band’s music, this is it. Here’s hoping there will be more to come.
