DZ Deathrays seem to know a thing or two about making music videos. Their video for “The Mess Up” is a single shot of the duo downing shots of Jägermeister one after another for three plus minutes. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know the end result equals barf.
The winning streak continues with the video for their new single “Dollar Chills”. I didn’t see any Jägermeister or barfing. Instead the band and two friends don skull masks and go cause some trouble. Shit gets broken, fireworks are shot off and private property is vandalized. Nothing too fancy, but the results are still impressive and no doubt inspirational for teenagers who are up to no good.
Also, did I mention the band sounds like a Death From Above 1979 with a light dusting of Justice? As with their music videos, this is not a bad thing.
